Links for your weekend

What are your plans for the weekend? Labor Day weekend always feels like the end of summer, even though technically we still have a few weeks. We're heading to the beach for one last summer hurrah, and I can't wait to watch Madeleine play in the sand and dip her toes in the ocean. Here are a few links for your weekend, hope it's a good one!

"I Wish My Teacher Knew" - an article worth reading.

For busy weeknights, try these Trader Joe's meal hacks.

This might be the first Kickstarter project I'm interested in supporting!

Give me all the pumpkin baked goods this fall, starting with this one

The happiest house tour

If you're in a shopping mood, here are all the big Labor Day sales.

Links for your weekend

Have you seen the party-in-a-box crates from Crated? I love the pirate party and the Parisian bridal shower boxes.

Just picked up this book.

One of my biggest pet peeves is people saying "just you wait". This post was TOO GOOD.

Current morning coffee routine: this + this.

Would you let your kids plan your family vacation? I thought this article was fascinating.

Love this little kitchen nook.

KFC is making a nail polish that tastes like chicken. WUT.

Made me laugh.

How delicious do these look?!

One of my favorite shops Brim Papery is having a Mother's Day sale. Use code HEYMAY for 20% off your entire purchase through Sunday!

Greenville friends: Anthropologie is having Mother's Day crafts + a pop-up floral shop with Willow Florals tomorrow from 10-2. More details here!

The most perfect dish towels are back in stock! Last time I missed the re-stock, so I snatched mine up this morning!

Do you contour? I never have, but I really like the look of this softer contour, so I think I might try it!

I received this book in the mail this week, and I can't wait to start it!

If you haven't made this peanut butter + chocolate cheesecake yet, what are you waiting for?!

I love the look of this ombre gallery wall.

Jonathan Adler is the new creative director for Fisher-Price. I'm excited to see more modern pieces in the baby/kid market!

Do you love looking at other people's art illustration Bible journaling as much as I do? Zondervan came out with an illustrated Bible for those of us (like me) who will never be able to do it ourselves. You can enter to win one here!

Have you heard of the new dating app You, Me and a Movie? You can meet potential matches in your area, chat, ask someone out based on movie preferences, and buy movie tickets through the app. I think it's a cute idea as far as dating apps go. More info here.

Drooling over this cake

Loved this post about random turn-ons. What are yours?

This post on stocking up for soup night essentials was so helpful! I'm adding some of these to my grocery list this week.

It's been two weeks, but I'm still listening to this on repeat. Anyone else with me??

Are you going to see this movie that just came out? I think it looks so good! I just got the book so I'm going to read that first.

I found the most perfect dish towel. And then it sold out this morning while I was in the process of checking out.

What are your plans for this rainy fall weekend? With the forecast the way that it is, I think it's pretty safe to say we will be staying inside! It looks like it will be a weekend of movies + college football, fall-scented candles, and dinner in the crockpot. Hope you stay warm + dry this weekend!

How cute is this closet turned nursery?!

I'm not a huge fan of the Adam Lippes for Target line, but I can get behind these shoes.

Would you walk across this 1,000-foot glass bridge? I definitely would NOT.

I'm looking really forward to reading this blog series.

A cute Halloween costume idea for both adults + kids.

I love this idea of having a focused collection that you can also use.

New Yorkers, rejoice: Chick-fil-A is comin' at ya.

What a beautiful birthday party.

Just finished Mindy Kaling's new book last night - I loved it!

Love this scarf and this scarf...orange + maroon - perfect for Hokie football season!

Had a date-night-in last night and watched this. Based on a true story movies are our favorite.

Baked this yesterday afternoon...we've already eaten more than half of it.

This instagram feed makes me want to hop on a plane to Italy.

I never participate in photo prompt series/challenges on instagram, but I'm actually doing this one! Find all the details here - join in & tag your photos #lifewithtruth

Love this simple DIY.

I've heard great things about this book - starting it today.

Greenville / Upstate people - get over to Indie Craft Parade and/or Farm Fresh Fair! I've only been to Indie so far, but they have excellent vendors this year! I wanted to buy so. many. things.

Have a wonderful weekend!
