Over the weekend we went apple picking! We typically go later in the fall, but we wanted to make sure we got Honeycrisp apples this year (the BEST), so we had to go a little early. We went up on a Sunday morning that was overcast, and there was hardly anyone there! It was a pleasant surprise, since the orchard we go to is typically so crowded you have to wait in line to get a parking spot, let alone the apple cider donuts. We did purchase said donuts before we made our way into the orchard. Madeleine did great in the Solly baby wrap and enjoyed looking all around. We came home with plenty of apples, and now I am excited for fall!

A Fall Weekend
This past weekend was a perfect weekend to welcome fall. We headed up to the apple orchard on Saturday morning and ended up with a little over 20 pounds of apples. Even though it was pretty hot out and we were wearing shorts, seeing all of the apples and pumpkins and children going on hay rides helped me channel the feeling of fall. After lunch we headed into nearby Hendersonville to check out a few of the local shops. It was a beautiful day to be outside, and even a beautiful day for driving home through the mountains, windows open. The rest of the weekend included eating dinner outside, a movie, and a busy Sunday afternoon getting things done around the house.
How did you spend your weekend?

Apple Picking
We had gorgeous fall weather this weekend, so Caleb and I took advantage of it and finally went to the apple orchard. It's pretty much the end of the season, but we were able to pick 20 pounds of apples. We made applesauce for the first time with some of them (recipe coming!) and it was really fun to have Caleb in the kitchen with me for a change. We just had a lot of fun all weekend together, and I'm a little bummed we're back to Monday morning. Here's to hoping your week is off to a great start!
