Look what arrived in the mail last week! I have been wanting this little beauty for years! I always imagined my kitchen would be complete once I had a turquoise Le Creuset Dutch oven and a red Kitchenaid...I guess I have arrived:) I am looking forward to putting this thing to good use this fall and winter.
What are your go-to soup/chili/stew recipes? I'm ready to find some new favorites!
My husband doesn't like soup as a general rule, but he asks me to make Taste of Home cheeseburger soup every winter. I make it my orange Le Creuset Dutch oven. :)

Completely jealous. I lust after Le Creuset and I need a Dutch oven, turquoise would be perfect. I made some delicious Buffalo Chicken Soup last night in simple pot -- once I dig up the recipe again, I will share it with you!
ReplyDeleteI love mine! I have a blue one, and I just made an easy beef pot stew with it. It seriously was way more tender than in a crock pot!
ReplyDeleteOh that is so beautiful! You have definitely arrived! What is the first thing you are going to cook in it?
ReplyDeleteOh I cook almost everything in mine... from chili, to stews, to black eyed peas, spaghetti... you name it. It gets used at least once a week... but most of the time more!! Congrats!!! Can't wait to see what you cook up!
ReplyDeleteWe just had this pumpkin chili last week and it was super tasty. I used ground turkey instead of beef.

I have the exact same one and LOVE it!! Actually I just used mine to make applesauce in this weekend! By the way, I have been reading your blog for awhile now and had no idea we lived so close. The apples for my applesauce came from an orchard in Hendersonville :)
ReplyDeletei am so jealous! i don't have a stew or a soup but i found this recipe today and it sounds heavenly and the perfect dish for a sunday dinner. i encourage you to make this, and then share the recipe with us: http://www.bonappetit.com/recipes/2012/10/braised-pork-shoulder-with-apple-cider-and-ginger-beer
ReplyDeleteAHHHHHHHHH to say that I'm jealous is an understatement. Still waiting on my very own KitchenAid mixer, so I'll have to put the Le Crueset aside until then. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful color! I am so envious! I've always wanted a white one. One day! I just made Tyler Florence's Chicken Meatball and Tortellini soup and it was amazing!
ReplyDeleteMe too, I'm jealous! I'm adding this to my xmas wishlist :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I am jealous. So many good things will be whipped up in there!
ReplyDeleteLove it!! Did you order it direct from Le Creuset? Is this the Carribean Blue? Thank you :)
