Cooking in the Fall

Yesterday I busted open my first canned pumpkin of the season!  Having our house smell like pumpkin definitely got me in the mood for baking and cooking this fall.  Here is some of my fall cooking inspiration from pinterest.

  7. I'm excited to just start using my crock-pot again! Although the temp here is still in the 80's so I think I need to wait until October for it to get nice and chilly outside. That carmel cheesecake bar looks divine!

btw, glad to hear someone else is fascinated with VW's, I think our husband's should be friends :)

  8. Yay for Fall food! Well of course I'll be making pumpkin chocolate chip muffins. I also make a mean chili (if I do say so myself - which I am) that I'm excited to make, and it's great for freezing so I can eat on it all season. And I'm going home this weekend and we're going to pick apples, so I'm hoping to try some new apple recipes!

  13. I'm looking forward to drinking vodka with apple cider, eating lots of apples, baking apple pies (and apple oatmeal cookies), and apple picking!!! It's freezing up here, so this change to fall hasn't been very subtle.

  14. I think I'm most looking forward to having our fire pit going and making smores while we sip on hot cocoa. I'm also ready to make up some banana nut bread(I always associate it with this time of year), some chili, some caramel apples, and some pumpkin bread. All good stuff!
