Do You Have Rain Boots?

We are going on our sixth consecutive day of rain and I have about had it! I have been saying I need new rain boots for a while now (my cupcake rain boots from my college days are long gone), but this week of rain has really put me over the edge. I hate having wet shoes/pants, so the time has come to finally buy some rain boots. Do you have any? I want a pair of Hunter rain boots, but I just can't decide the color!  I've narrowed it down to these; what do you think?

On a Rainy Day

via

Is anyone else tired of the dreary, rainy weather?  Rain every once in a while is great, but since weather plays a significant role in determining both my motivation level and mood for any given day, I'd love some sunshine.  Rainy days call for little pick-me-ups.  Here are some of my favorite ways to brighten up a rainy day:

1. Do your nails

2. Put pretty flowers where you can see them

4. Pick up some Starbucks

5. Wear rain boots and jump in puddles

6. Write a letter to a friend

7. Watch your favorite Friends episode

8. Bake cookies

9. Curl up on the couch with a good book

10. Make some soup for dinner

What do you like to do on a rainy day?

Rainy Afternoon

It has turned into a rainy spring afternoon.  It's one of those days that I just want to lay on the couch, eat my Easter candy, and watch Friends.  Instead I'm going to clean the house and spend some time baking.  I saw the cutest rainy-day activity ever on a blog a couple of weeks ago.

Katie took a bunch of rubber duckies

and put them in puddles all over the city!

Seriously how fun is that?  If I saw little duckies in puddles everywhere, my rainy day gloom would certainly disappear.  The other thing that brightens rainy days are fun umbrellas.  Once upon a time I had the most perfect umbrella.  It was black and had the names of cities around the world all over it, each in a different color.  It was my goal to go to every city on my umbrella.  Until I left it on the bus and haven't seen my favorite umbrella since.  I'm still in search of a new favorite.

This umbrella has a light.  Why didn't I think of that?
