The Story of Ian & Larissa

I watched this video earlier this week, and since then I've seen it everywhere.  Just in case you haven't seen it yet, here it is.  I don't normally post videos, but this is definitely worth watching!  I'd love to know your thoughts :)

  5. I saw this on facebook yesterday. I was in tears by the end of course. They are amazing. It is hard to know what I would do if faced with such a situation. I quickly requested the John Piper book from my library system, and I'm anxious to read it. :)

  6. thank you so much for sharing this. my thoughts, my thoughts. hmmm. as someone who's not married yet and is in a relationship with the intention to get married...i think i would do the same thing. i know brian is the one for me, and the things that marriage can bring to me - a partner to support me in my professional and personal goals, children, intimacy - are things i only want with him. so if this happened to him, i don't see myself eventually moving on. i still see myself living out a life with him. but i am young, as is the woman in this video. and i wonder if i ever would regret that instead i didn't support brian yet at the same time trying to move on romantically, or if i would be fine living by his side.

this article (link below) was published at the beginning of this year and just...truly floored me. it made me realize love and loyalty can take different, but just as strong, forms. if you liked this video, i'd love for you to read this. it's a more mature woman's decision when faced with a similar situation. even though it's a bit different, like this video it made me resolve to be stronger in my love, my loyalty, my commitment. and it reminded me how complex situations can be, and that when you look in from the outside, there's so much you don't see and know.
